Volunteering
Here at Colin Glen Trust, we offer a wide variety of volunteering opportunities, which can be enjoyed by able and less able persons of all ages, on a short or long-term basis.
Volunteering Opportunities
Opportunities include:
- A wide range of practical conservation work, including: Tree planting, wildlife surveying, habitat management and park ranging
- Environmental education : Planning and delivery to both schools and local community groups
- Park services , such as: Path maintenance and seating area development
- Reception duties
- Marketing of the park and our events
- NVQ programme, in association with Greenmount College, Antrim.
There are also roles available at the Colin Valley Golf course, working on the maintenance of golf greens and fairways and planting of shrub and tree beds.
The Volunteer officer will provide personal protective equipment, initial orientation, job training and supervision.
